You are a stranger, as well I
At first, I don't mind or care who you are
I see you around, but there's no magic behind
He's 20 and I'm 26, this can't be
I woke up one morning, asking myself why
Of all people, I dreamed of this young man
It's a tale of two individuals born six-years apart
In spite of differences they fell in love
It's inexplicable because it's you and me
You don't even glance nor smile at me
There's no gesture that may catch my heart
In reality we're worlds apart
When I saw you, I'd rather changed my way
One day you saw me, you suddenly turned away
When you look at me, I pretended I didn't notice
One day I look at you, you snob at me
I don't know what's going on your mind
Maybe you also have questions like mine
But it bothers me, are you conceited?
Maybe it’s inadvertent but it cause pain inside
One day, a sweet surprise from Above
For the first time, you showed me your smile
Is this real or maybe a dream?
Undeniably, there's bliss inside me
I don't know what happened as days goes by
I never see you around for a long time
Do I mistakenly thought it was a start
And maybe there's no such thing on your mind
But then, thank you for your gentle gesture
I started to fall but there's something wrong
Maybe our story has no end nor beginning
Instead, we remained as strangers as before.
A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.
